Gmail Problem, please look

I have setup my gmail with the gmail application, but the only way i can get my email's is if i open the gmail app, and click refresh.

I want the emails to notify me as they come, i dont want to have to refresh the gmail inbox to get them ;(

Can somebody assist me with this?

Settings > data manager > data delivery > Check the background data button.

Then from that same menu go to email and corporate sync > email delivery > Check the data push button.

It sounds like your auto sync is off. Go into gmail->menu->accounts->menu->account settings and make sure auto sync is on.

Great! I had the same issue, for some reason auto sync turned off. Pretty sure i didn't turn it off myself, but who knows. Glad you got it working again.

Thanks all, I was having this same exact problem. Still can't figure out how my settings in Gmail got changed and the Sync turned off, but I am sure I did it some how while I am experimenting with this much different phone.
