Gmail,SMS,Email,FB notifications - HELP

Hi everyone,

I just started using HTC ONE and I was an iphone user. The one thing I noticed - which kinda makes me miss iPhone is the Notification Features.

Usually, whenever I received sms, emails, gmail, fb, etc via iPhone, It showed up on the screen (notification, sound, vibrate) especially when the screen was locked.

Though, HTC provides sounds notification and LED light, it does not show the messages on the screen (just black - during locked mode). I like to see these notifications appear on my phone, instead having to click the top button just to get the screen unlocked.

I am sure there are tips and tricks for this.

Anyone? Suggestions?
