Re: GNex + Seidio Surface Holster + Otterbox Commuter + VZW Silic
Congratulations on getting your Commuter! I have really grown to really like and appreciate the offerings of this case. It does have a few shortcomings, as you already have noted. It does attract lint easily. However, most silicone material of the sort does, unless it's the smooth, polished shiny type like the VZW TPU case. However, I think that over time, the natural wear of the silicone liner will help the lint situation. Originally, I preferred to not use the battery cover when using this case. It just seemed like it fit better, however, without having the battery cover on it allowed to much flex in the case that made it push up on the edges of my Ghost Armor screen protector. Now I wear it with the battery cover ON, while in the Commuter, and all is good. No more flex. Now both Otterbox and Ghost Armor play nicely together.
UPDATE: For those who requested it, I have updated my OP to include close pictures of the Commuter with the battery door installed to illustrate what the added girth makes the case look like on the bottom (where you see the most difference). I have also added comparison pictures of the Seidio Active and Seidio Surface cases. Again, the Active case will work better with the Otterbox Commuter.
For anyone interested, I will be putting up an assessment thread detailing the look of the new Seidio 3800mah battery, it's door, and the Seidio Extended Surface Case (3800mah) and holster combo!

Otterbox came in. Nice Case. But truely is a lint magnet. I can get over that. But I have noticed that having it installed with the battery cover off, is a much better fit for the case. With the cover on, th bottom buldges out a bit and Im just OCD about those kind of things lol. But then again, I was OCD realizing that there is no battery cover on it! But its cool. I had the Qmadix case before this without the battery cover on. No problems. But Ill really need a clip though because This phone isnt going in and out of my jeans pocket for long. Qmadix was nice because I had the clip for it. And that whole combo was less then what I paid for this Commuter. So I might just sell it. Not to sure right now. Its too soon.
