Go sms message delivery

Anyone know why if I get a message that's over 2 sentences long it comes in 2 texts? Is there a way to change this.

What carrier is it coming from? True SMS messages are limited to 160 characters, most Verizon to Verizon messages get re-assembled automatically, whereas it seems like messages from another carrier do not, but that is partially dependent on your SMS app too.

It's verizon. Handcent doesn't do it but I really like go sms better.

Hmmm... if Handscent and the stock Message app don't do it, then I wonder if it's a setting thing...

I just a clean install of GoSMS Pro on my other phone (also a Rezound on stock ICS) and tried several messages, and I am not seeing this behavior... perhaps something is off in the settings of Go SMS? The only I see that makes me think is in Settings-Advanced-Application Settings and Message Grouping, it is enabled by default in mine. Otherwise, try a Clear Data on the Go SMS Pro app maybe?
