anybody using an app like this? I would like to leave my laptop at home on road trips, but still have access to our work software if needed.

I dont even know if gotomypc.com has an app, but i could log in to their website i guess.

Asus TF comes with an app to do that in the "My Cloud" application which is essentially a re-packaged version of Splashtop.

interesting! So with the TF app, I could actually view my desktop, correct?

correct, after you have down load and install some soft ware to your desktop plus a few settings to your
firewall plus port forwarding of your router.

OR you can install TeamVIewer on both your TF and in your desktop/laptop.

I have done this on my Evo4G and can peek in on my home box anytime.

2x works, & it's free (your computer needs to support incoming RDP connections though).

Logmein is by far the easiest and simplest solution but unfortunately the app for Android costs $20

The Splashtop app which comes with the tablet works great, however you must be on the same network for it to work properly. They have an HD app on the Market for $10 which allows you to connect via the Internet.

I also use LogMeIn Ignition, but yeah.. the $30 price point is too much. But the Splastop works great and there is virtually no lag.

I use Phone My PC. It is like stupid-simple to setup and works really good. You can even turn on your webcam and mic and checkout what's going on near your computer. $14.99

You don't need to be on the network to use Splashtop - just set up port forwarding. - sheureka

If you use an RDP client like 2X or Pocket Cloud, are you able to use a bluetooth mouse in the remote screen?

I use 2x. Way better than splashtop in my opinion.
