Going back to 2.1, who's with me?

im using the drivers that came in the gift dl i just tried it and it says flash failed the ini file is not in the gift zip can anyone give me a link to get this again? im on windows 7 32 bit
Quick question about going back to 2.1. If my contacts and calender are synced and backed up already with google and all of my pics, videos, music, and tones are safe on my sd card what else should I worry about backing up? I made a list of apps to re download so I don't forget any and how my screens were set up also. Other than remembering to change some settings and re do my alarms am I forgetting anything?

Cool thanks I just wanted to make sure that what is on the sd card is safe or if I have to remove the sd card. So other than a lot of downloading it should be fairly quick and simple.
I really love this froyo and I am not having any issues so I may keep it a few more days then just go back to 2.1 and wait for the official release of 2.2. It is just such a relief to see first hand that they fixed most if not all the issues I personally had with the X so far and its really cool to see what they can do with these updates and what may be possible in the future.
Only thing I wanted that wasn't addressed yet is smileys. Still none in 2.2, where are the cool android ones from the og droid? I know that was stock android and I can download a different text app but I like the stock motorola one minus the no smileys. Kind of silly to leave out what seams to be such a simple feature.

I hate to say it... but i just finished the switch back. While i love flash and JIT, my user experience was just not as good. I had a lot of launcher lag, as well as fc every hour or so. Plus no undervolting. Im glad to be back.

If u had alot of fc's, you should have wipes the catch and factory reset. Had that problem when I updated my eris to 2.2
Did the wipe and fixed everything. So far on the DX, im having great luck. Few difference's but ill ajust.
I am disappointed no overclock/undervolt is available for 2.2

I could not be happier with my move to Froyo. I didn't wipe my phone, so all of my apps are there and not one of them has given me a problem since moving over. If this leak is the one that goes OTA, I would not have any complaints.
I'm sorry to hear that others have been having problems but fortunately for me, the update has been smooth as silk.

I am having zero issues as well but now that I have tasted froyo and seen first hand what to expect from some fixes and stuff I can go back to 2.1 and sleep easy at night knowing what's right around the corner. I just wanna flash back to 2.1 to ensure I have no issues updating to the official release of 2.2. Like I said it was nice to see the volume issue was actually fixed as was a few other issues and that is better than just heating a fix is coming and not actually knowing.

One question I have is would I be better going back to 2.1 now and waiting for the official release? Or now that I have all the files and RSD lite that I need to go back, would it be safe to just wait till the official is release and roll back to 2.1 if need be in order to get the upgrade?
I saved everything needed to go back to 2.1, including instructions. Will saty with the leak unless I must for the official update.
I'm rolling back to 2.1 It was fun to see what it coming but the leaked release still needs a lot of work. Mine froze twice during calls and since my phone is primarily for work it is a bad thing.
Really really hope they get it right on the OTA.
