Keep adaptive brightness setting on max Samsung S24U

With the adaptive brightness setting turned on does anyone know how to keep the brightness on the highest setting all the time? I go for walks during the day when the sun is shining and the screen is very readable with adaptive brightness on even when the sun is shining on the phone. However immediately after walking under a tree canopy or any kind of shade (my walking paths are covered in tree canopies that are roughly 50% of the walking path area) the screen dims down so much that I'm unable to read what's on my screen. Only when I reappear out it to direct sunlight is the screen readable again. If I turn the adaptive brightness setting off the screen does not get bright enough when the sun is hitting it. I would like to keep the max brightness setting on all the time instead of it dimming down once I go under a tree canopy. Is this possible or is do I just have to deal with an unreadable screen (in the shade) while doing my outdoor walks?

Just pull your notification panel down and adjust the brightness bar while having adaptive brightness and do this a couple times that way it learns your habits of lighting in different scenarios .

I tried this but when I walk into shade and try to move the brightness bar to full bright the brightness level doesn't change. I need to turn off adaptive brightness for it to actually increase.

That's my experience also, for certain odd scenarios you have to just turn off adaptive brightness and manually adjust it.

I tried this but when I walk into shade and try to move the brightness bar to full bright the brightness level doesn't change. I need to turn off adaptive brightness for it to actually increase.

It should go down automatically once you go into shade pretty quickly , if it's still max brightness I would say try in safe mode

It periodically doesn't (go up or down automatically, quickly). I have experienced it several times also. It doesn't surprise me that walking in and out of shade or direct sunlight over and over again is a scenario that adaptive brightness might have some difficulty dealing with, depending on how fast the transitions happen and how long in shade/sunlight before next transition.

For me it's not a big enough issue and does not happen enough (maybe a few times a month) to warrant having to put the phone in safe mode. I just simply turn off adaptive brightness and adjust manually.

Interesting maybe some difference on the international version over the US ? My experience I hadn't had an issue on adaptive brightness which been the best I've had on my phones, I know my pixels weren't as accurate .

It works pretty good (IMO), but sometimes has a problem with some specific scenarios. I doubt it's vastly different across the different variants. Some of the limitations might not even ever be noticed by most.
