Re: Going Back to Iphone 5
Exactly.
Here's the problem. Out of a list of all possible things you could do with your jailbroken iphone, maybe 1-2% require the need to root your Android device. Something more like 30% would require you to Jailbreak your iPhone and start playing the cat and mouse security game with Apple.
And in the end you're stuck doing it all on a screen that looks like the size of a postage stamp compared to a top of the line Android device. There goes "it just works" right out the window. If it did you wouldn't be hacking your device with all the accompanying bugs and flaws just to get where I am right out of the box.
As I said before, iOS had a big hill to climb now called Mt. Catch Up. They're not the leaders anymore and haven't been for the last couple of years. Even the die hard Apple flag waver sites have been practically creaming their pants at getting Google Maps and Google Now on iPhone.
Jobs peaked when he released the iPad. Another interesting development is that all these companies are tripping over themselves to jump on the newest frontier: China and its population of 4 billion souls. Guess what the Chinese carriers recently told Apple about the influence and control they exert over USA carriers? I'll give you a hint: NO. Apple is well poised to take their place in history beside Nokia and Blackberry as a former tech giant unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat soon.
