Going back to stock

I was recently running rooted 2.2 on my Droid (simply stunning mod). I was able to flash 2.1-update1 to my phone using RSDLite. I've tried almost every website including the "Froyo for Droid has arrived; here's how to get it without waiting" article to update back to 2.2 with no success.

Each time I try to install the update.zip file it says "E:failed to verify whole-file signature E:signature verification failed"
I have the full 45.2 file and it is named update.zip in my file manager, not update.zip.zip.

Please help I think the issue may be phone related like I missed something coming back to stock.

Don't freak out man just go to the verizon web site and download the software from them and follow the on screen directions. You will need your pc to do it. Should go fine. If not check back in and let us know.
