Goo Bang Doo XB iii TV Box blocked

[Android Central Question]

Hi guys!

I am experiencing the following problem with my Goo Bang Doo bought on Amazon: after having installed SuperSU app, the TV Box is now blocked on the home screen. I tried to update the firmaware using USB burining tool but my PC does not find the TV box once plugged-in.
Could someone give me some help please?

Since SuperSU is written differently for each device, and I never saw one for any Android TV, he probably used one for some other device - and bricked it.

If you want to root the box (I don't know why you'd want to - there are no "TV-type" apps that require root), I'd see if the bootloader was unlockable (making sure that the box ran on 6.0 or later) and install Magisk.
