Best Buy ONLINE now allows you to buy the phone (in my case - Verizon) without activation for full retail amount. It's now an option on their website when you select 'BUY'.

Although it's a bit more than buying full retail from VZW, Best Buy is offering a 24" LG LED TV for Free with the purchase of the phone. When you add the phone to the shopping cart, the website automatically throws the free TV into the cart along with it. I then selected where to do the STORE pickup within my area for both items. (The TV is listed as $149 on their website)

So when you factor this free TV in along with the FREE goodies LG is offering via their promotions site (200GB SD card, Extra Battery, Charger), it's a good deal if you are thinking of buying the phone WITHOUT trade-ins to VZW (and having to re-up your contract).

Wow, that is a great deal. If I wanted to activate, i just put in an activated sim card

Let me ask, if you buy this phone from best buy to work on Verizon, as an unactivated device, how do you activate it when you're ready to? Does it come with a sim? Or do you have to go to a verizon wireless store? How?

When I upgraded the phone they had the TV deal as well and the BBM rep told me that it was a first come first serve offer and that there were none in the local stores...

You have to have your own nano sim or get one from vzw. In my case I merely pulled my existing sim from my Moto X and put it into the V10 and powered it up. Presto. The 'unactivated' sim was in the phone when I opened the box. I pulled it out and tossed it into the trash.

Also to answer the other fellas comment, the Best Buy site will show local stock around your area. They are in the stores now.

One note: Best Buy just very recently instituted the option of buying unactivated phones. In the past, they HAD to activate it in the store before you could leave. So when I went in to pick it up ( I had already paid the full amount via the website and selected store pickup), the lady was unaware she could just give me the phone. I told her I paid for the 'unactivated' full retail price. She made a phone call to get confirmation, and then handed me the phone. The concept is very new to them with carrier specific phones, though unlocked phones always get sold that way. (zenphone, moto g, etc...)

Ok, but my note 4 uses a micro sim, not a nano. So I'll have to get on the phone with Verizon to activate when ready?

I would first buy the phone. Then go into a VZW store and tell them you're going to a phone that uses nano sims. They'll get a nano sim from behind the counter and program it to your phone number. If you're under contract with VZW, and this is a 'corporate' store (not a reseller), the sim should be free. Then all you do is power down your Note 4, then pop the new sim it into your V10, power it up and you're good to go. This is commonplace for the VZW store people now as more and more unlocked phones are entering the market that people are buying online (Nexus 6p, Moto X Pure Edition) and coming to the store to get new sims for them because their current ones don't fit them.

Does this mean that if i get a converter, I'd be able to put the nano into the note 4 and it would work?

Yes... you can use a NANO to MICRO SIM Adaptor if you want to swap between the V10 and the Note4.

I think my V10 came with a Verizon SIM card. I bought a T Mobile adapter when I bought my phone. I've been l switching back and forth between my. Note 4 and V10. I've finally decided on the V10.

It's a pain switching when you have to factory reset a smartwatch each time!

By the way, Best Buy matched Verizon's price. I had to talk to talk to tech support because the SIM from BB wasn't in their system.

I assume you bought the phone unlocked, right? I didn't know phones were shipping with both GSM and CDMA, and not be a Nexus.
