Well, to my surprise Verizon is going to send me a complimentary DX2 for my DX. The DX was my first Android device and I loved nearly every single thing about it, it feels like leaving a significant other... almost like betrayal!

You guys, specially the DX Roms and Hacks section, have been awesome. I never had a question that was unanswered and thanks to this section I was able to get rooted, get leaks early, and most importantly bring out the best in my DX. I regret having to leave during an excited time like this(CM7) for the DX. I was in all honesty satisfied with using this phone until something truly game changing was released.

It's been a blast! If the DX2 isn't as supported by devs then I don't think my time with the X2 will be as enjoyable. Keep those Xs rockin!

your first android device was a droid X but your name starts with Evo? Anyways have fun with your shiny new dual core phone, our community has probably peaked sadly :(

The Evo comes from the Mitsubishi car, not so much the phone.

I got a dead pixel right in the middle of my screen so they hooked me up.

From what I've read, I wouldn't call the DX2 "game changing", more of an "evolutionary step". Its only real advantage, so far as I know, is the new processor.

Yeah, like I said, there was nothing really worth wasting an upgrade on. Everything is just dual core, but still packing 512MB RAM. But hey, it's free so whatever. I'll be using my upgrade whenever a Ice Cream Sandwhich Nexus comes to Verizon... it's nice to dream.

+1!!
