Add far as I know, Good Lock Labs has always been a Samsung entity. They've been around since 2016.

A "paddle lock" is a pad lock. The kind you see securing lockers, doors, etc. Yes, it's a bad translation.

굿락 = Good Lock

It actually comes out as "Good rock." There is no "L" sound in the Korean language.
