I hope no one believes this guy. He claims to be an employee while calling people idiots and telling them to learn to read. Clearly just looking for some attention...
No worries man. I hope it happens soon, however from everything i've seen and read this is not the gingerbread update just yet. its just a minor patch update. Obviously I can't say 100% of what I know as I enjoy my career and have been with google for a few years now and a non-disclosure agreement is in place on all employee's.
I have no need for attention, ive been on this site for almost a year and have seldom posted, and since when does where you work determine if you get mad or not? lol
Before you make anymore claims can you please prove you work for Google? You claim the tweet by @googlenexus to be incorrect, yet its been an hour and it hasn't been retracted. Its hard to believe a forum user on a website above the tweet from the company itself.

I'm with you, I've been running cm 7 nightlies lately to get my gingerbread fix... What I'm interested in seeing is how well sense will fit over top of gingerbread...
Dudes a troll, let him be. Regardless of how 'low level' the tweeter was they would still be given the relevant information for a substantial post such as this. Oh and for someone to confuse 2.3.3 for both NS and N1 and 2.3.3 for NS and 2.2.3 for N1 would be a mistake that simple data entry monkeys wouldn't be forgiven for, never mind a Google employee.

We have no way of knowing one way or the other, and calling one another liars is really beside the point. If he's right, then we should expect a "clarifying" tweet from Google in the next 72 hours. If he's wrong, then we should expect to hear of OTA updates to folks on this board over the next 7 days.
Time will answer all questions.
I work for Google and you're all wrong. Gingerbread for the N1 will be 2.603. Mark my words.

On the one hand, the tweet is still there, and I haven't seen a retraction (Twitter).
On the other, we have a (possible) Google Employee telling us that it's not happening. Of course, Google is a big place. It's possible that the internal memo about this never reached carolinaguy99...
Oh well. I guess we'll see in a day or two, when either a retraction occurs, or someone posts a link to the update.

Why wouldn't he share the URL?
Fake? No one else seem to received the update what I have seen.

Well, according to her tweet it's rolling out.
Google is probably sending 1 update every six hours.
Yeah, I read in a swedish forum and xda that it's rolling out to Google Employees only. But shieeeeet, a lot of stuff being said from all sides in this.
I spoke with a buddy of mine who works for Google (as an Accountant), he has NOT received the Gingerbread OTA for his Nexus One yet and promised he would let me know if/when he did receive it.
He is not the most technically sound guy around (I know kind of shocking considering who he works for), but I did talk him through the logcat procedure and sent him a copy of instructions for obtaining the download address (as found on XDA).
If that bears any fruit, I will happily contribute to the community,
