Google App search results flickering...

Hey! I've just started to notice my screen flickers only when searching and then scrolling up through the results in the Google App. If I search in Chrome, it does not happen. I've tried clearing the Google App cache and uninstalling the updates, but it still happens. Thoughts?

*The entire screen doesn't flicker. Only certain search results.

This is happening in different phones, including mine. It seems limited to some searches that include the Overview window and only when using dark mode. Scrolling down the flickering usually stops. Same with you?

Thanks for the response. Yeah, it seems like it starts immediately with the transparent overview on dark mode. You're right... I switched to light mode, and a few pictures in the search results flickered but definitely much better. Chrome in dark mode works fine though.

Thanks for the link. I just tried everything including safe mode. It still flickered in safe mode as well. I'd hope Google would be able to fix it with a new version release?

Yeah, I've seen this happening in different devices and brands with no fix so far. Strange that for that member it went away in safe mode. It only happens with some searches, not always though.

When is your Webview update from? I'm on Android 11, but my latest Webview is from Aug 25. It's fine on the light mode, but i still get the issue with the transparent banner on dark mode.

Thanks! The link didn't work, but clearing the cache and force stopping the Play Store did the trick. Back to normal again!
