Google Assistant acting weird

So, for the past couple of days, my Google Assistant on my phone has been sounding very computerized versus sounding like a normal person. then for Android Auto I can verbally respond back to every message I receive. I have to Say no response to the message. Then I have to start a new message to the same person with the response. Is anyone else experiencing this at all?
