Google assistant (allo) vs google assistant pixel

Out of curiosity is there any differences between the 2 I didn't know allo was available on iOS thus giving you googles assistant so what's the point?

I believe the difference is just how you can interact with it....the Assistant built into the Pixel can take context from what's on your screen whereas the Allo version you can only talk/type your questions.

Also you can't launch the Allo version from anywhere on the phone with a voice command like you can with the assistant on the pixel.

The above are true. If you want to type your request for Assistant, you will need to go into Allo. I find that a little strange.
