Hello,

i am trying to get voice assistant to work including on lock screen.
after searching a few hours i i know i need to use the retrain option.
and here my problem starts.

under the "OK Google" Option there is no voice model option.
it jumps right to Shared devices.

i have no idea how i should fix this.
i have gone trough various threads to do this with no luck.

Anyone encounterd this problem before ?

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S20
all apps and software already updated to last avalible versions. (some also reinstalled)

Welcome to Android Central! Try clearing the cache from your Google app in Settings>Apps, then see if the option shows up.

thanks for answering,

Tried it before,
to confirm i just tried it again so i can upload results.
unfortunately it didn't help.

Ok, then try clearing the Google app data as well -- it should resync quickly, but maybe some wonky data will be cleared out.

Do you have any other Android or iOS devices where you can try to access the Google apps settings?

clearing all data also didn't work,
hadn't tried that yet though.

i have my old Samsung S7 Edge i will get it right after this post.
you mean clear data on that phone so it forgets its settings and try to acces voice model on the S20 ?

No, just see if you can access the Retrain Voice Model option on the S7 edge.

My S7 edge is just the same,
i suppose this means the problem originates somewhere in my google account?

i went over my settings but i didn't find anything that could cause this

What if you turn off Voice Match, then turn it back on again?

that is the most basic thing i did.
also off - restart - on - restart

i tried all the basic combinations.
same with cashe and uninstalling/updating the google app

i got it fixed.

i re-did all my security settings and Force logged-out all my devices form the account settings.
after that i relogged on my phone and reset the data and cashe.
then restarted my phone. now i finally got to set the voice model.

Thanks for all the support @B. Diddy

Glad that worked! Wonder what glitched to cause the problem in the first place. Let us know if it happens again!
