Google assistant

Got it!! Saw it last night and briefly went through it then went to sleep, lol. Whats all the fuss about this anyway?!?

Got my update overnight. Apparently it's turned on server side because no apps were updated but it's finally live. I'm in Michigan.

I'm being stubborn and not using it. I'll use the Google app for now. Being forced to turn on Web and App Activity is not something I want. Like I said, stubborn.

I wouldn't call that stubborn. I'd just call it you doing what you feel comfortable with.

How are you avoiding it? The only option I see is to turn it off completely, but then you've got nothing. I want Google Now back.

If you use nova launcher you could always add a persistent search bar or pill widget easy access just a tap or two more. And yes, I understand that you may not want as much work to get there but it's just a suggestion.

This is what I've done with Nova.

I'm just physically going to the Google app. I can't press and hold my home button anymore.
