New to EVO, had it about 3 weeks. Setup GMail account and imported the contacts and calender events with ease to laptop. Contacts downloaded to the EVO but calender did not. Had to do a hard reset and got 1 month (June) but nothing else. Under Accounts & Sync, Google has my gmail address and when opened, it has Sync contacts, Sync gmail & Sync calender cked. to sync. Gmail & contacts sync but calender won't. I have removed and added the account & still no luck. Suggestion accepted.

1. did you look under "Settings" in the Android Calendar App? Calendar App---->Menu---->Settings---->Select Calendars---->you@gmail.c0m (calendar)
2. fyi - Android only syncs back about 3 months of past events. all future events should sync.
3. fyi - check out the free "Jorte" App 4x4 widget.

Gekko,
Thanks for the reply. Your #1 I have done that numerous times, even removed the gmail acct and added it back, nothing. #2 Thought I had read that that was being change to go back 1 year, not sure though.

Just added event to laptop g calender and then a different to EVO calender. The event added to the laptop made it over to the EVO but the one on the EVO didn't make it to the laptop (Not the 1st). I will just keep trying. Thanks

maybe try -

1. settings--> applications--->manage applications--->calendar storage--->clear cache/clear data. THEN do a manual re-sync with Gmail (PC Side). (make sure all settings are correct per above on phone).
2. did you update the OS to Gingerbread yourself? if so you may need a factory erase with manual sync as a last resort.

Ok, I did #1 and got everything back, but still won't go from EVO to PC but will go from PC to EVO. Guess I will just enter them on the PC for awhile.

Don't now about the gingerbread update. I haven't done it that I know of, just had an HTC update but it was 4. something, didn't say gingerbread.

When entered on the PC Calender they automatically go to the EVO. The contact changes go automatically both ways.

Settings----about phone----software info.

2.2 is Froyo, 2.3.3 is GB.

Hit HTC update to update.

Ok Android Version is 2.3.3, so it must have already updated or was installed when I got it about 3 wks ago.

Thats what I had to do to get it to sync like it does now. Thanks for all the time, I will keep checking in and maybe we can get er done some day. ll909

Gekko, I noticed that my events entered from EVO showed ActiveSync Exchange, PC. The ones entered from Google Calendar showed my Google address. I deleted my office email address & now I can sync. Won't sync out to Nov. though. Thx

there you go. you need to make sure your DEFAULT calendar for entering new events on your EVO is your Gmail calendar so that new events are saved to the Gmail calendar. i thought you had made sure that setting was correct.

My bad. The only calendars I see are the ones provided by HTC. Do I need to download a Gmail Calendar or just mmake the email address DEFAULT. Sorry about the dumb questions, still learning.

Here is what I discovered. It's a Google setting. If you don't share your calendar publicly, your calendar downloads from your phone won't show up. When I switched my settings to share publicly they showed up.
Go to Google calender on PC>My calendars> select the calendar >share this calendar>

not sure about this. my calendars are all private and all events show up.
