Hey folks,
I set up the google wallet for the first time and added one of my credit cards, and haven't used it as of yet, but when I logged in to credit card online account see a $1.00 charge from google. I dont know what that is. Have that happen to anyone else? is there a fee for using google wallet cuz I thought it was free?

It'll more than likely be returned. This is a standard thing to happen when adding a card to something. Also it happened to me and though I haven't checked I'm sure it's been reversed by now.

I'm sure this is Nomal, when you think about it when you use wallet it is Google that is paying the store and then Google takes the money from your card. They most likely initially need to see if the card your using is actually active. I could be wrong but that's what it seems to me.

Most likely just a pre-authorization that will disappear when the actual charge doesn't materialize. This happens a lot when you have to give someone your credit card in advance but they will not be charging until later (hotels, car rentals, etc.).

Yes, a pre-auth charge is all it is. It will disappear from your records in 2-4 days as if it never existed, and will never fully get to the point of actually being charged against your account past that pre-authorization stage.
