Google Chrome constantly pops up without permission and some odd links

[Android Central Question]

Hi all,
For the past about 3 weeks the Google Chrome in my Samsung S9+ is constantly popping up every few hours with some links opening there to pages I have never visited (nothing R rated thankfully, but still annoying), just popping up without permission (I already disabled whatever I could in the Google Chrome settings) and with some spam websites. Any way to sort out this issue? Its really annoying at this time. And each time it pops up, it opens a new tab with some new website.
