Google.com keeps opening on it's own

my Samsung S4 mini keeps opening to google.com or trying to log into wi fi.
It will do this so many times, it drains the batteries. this happens when it's sitting on my desk untouched and when I'm trying to use it-the screen will change to trying to connect to google. often shows unable to display webpage (i can't access wifi on my phone at work) but it happens in the car and at home as well.
So frustrating-makes me hate this phone. How can i stop this?

Start the phone in safe mode. That should stop the problems. If it does, it's an app that's trying to access the internet. All you have to do is figure out which app you downloaded from an unknown source and is trying to connect to the internet behind your back.
