Google Drive vs Google Photos

I've Google the difference but I'm still kind of confused because I open my Google Drive and noticed some of my photos from my gallery weren't on there...but we're in Google Photos.

I want basically what the iCloud did...backup my photos to a cloud when I'm on WIFI.

Which is the best option? Thanks.

Hello! I use google photos since you get unlimited storage. I have mine set to back up when I'm on wifi.

For photos, use Google photos.

Just be careful, if you sync then delete on photos, it may delete on your phone.. One new feature which is cool is that you can set photos to delete on your phone anything that is already backed up in photos, freeing up a lot of space.

Also try the search by object.. Very cool.. Not close to perfect but it will keep getting better I'm sure.

Yeah that's what I call it... Normal people just call it search. Cool thing is when you search, you can enter "dog" or "car" and it will find those objects in your photos (not close to perfect but works in a way.. Very cool.

OK, that's very cool. Searched my photos for Christmas Tree and it show all the pics with Christmas trees. Thanks for the tip.
