Google event Oct. 29 in NYC

Some interesting (or reaching) ideas are being thrown around on the Verge forums in regard to the actual image Google adhered to the invitation.

*4 Blue Icons (buildings) = 4 New Phones
*2 Red Icons (bridge) = 2 New Tablets
*4 Blue, 2 Red = New 4.2 Update (that one makes sense).

Regardless, I'm elated Google is holding their own event instead of announcing the next advancement in Android briefly at AllThingsD.

Google is doing a lot of small things lately. But all these small tweaks and updates are really amounting to some big changes over the past couple months, all for the better.

Google is on a roll and I can't wait to see what's in store Oct 29th

Here is what I decipher from the picture if at all Google hints about nexus devices:
1st red from the right = Nexus S, about to fall off (2 year Google support) and red because its not a current year model
2nd red from the right = Galaxy Nexus, still has one year to go to fall off and red because last year model
3rd blue from the right = Nexus 7, broad structure shows that its a tablet, its in green field - shows its released out in the market and blue because its a current year model (2012-13)
4th and 5th from right = Yet to be launched Nexus phones, in yellow field because its not yet released (under testing) and blue because these will be released this year (2012-13)
6th from the right = Another Nexus phone in yellow field but still not on the Google search bar which may imply that hardware is not yet decided and so Google hasn't started testing yet

This is just my thoughts, may be its just a picture but one thing that strikes me is that, the search bar is not in the middle of the picture which makes me think there should be a reason for it.

First thing i noticed was the included voice search icon. A little obvious, but superfluous, too.

Please Andy Rubin shade some light on what nexus line is pushing for in future. This wishful thinking but I hope get some sort time line for nexus line going. I am sort tired of the guessing game with nexus line rather know a little more than nothing next year.

I personally like surprises, as long as we have a regular time frame i.e. same time of the year.

Hmmm I like your thinking.
Plenty more interpretations to come no doubt.

does anyone else thing they are going to focus somewhat on Google Now? Google seems to be very committed to Google Now, changing privacy structures to incorporate a more involved user experience. The image looks like something from the top of Google Now.

Anyway I hope its multple Nexus devices. Choice for all.

Note that search bar looked like that long before Google Now :p

They will announce the LG Nexus Device, the 32GB Nexus 7, and JB 4.2. Anything more than that and I will be (giddy) surprised.

Sorry for me I would like to know how many phones and tablets they are expecting to come out with in a year. I would like to know how long they expect to keep a particular device up to date in software.

I hope next year we can expect to see more set partern for particular devices like apple. If they want the nexus name to be big with mainstream they need have set venues where they release there product. They need to return to the same venue every year around same time and at least release same category devices they release the previous year.

Google I/O is great venue in the summer to always release a Nexus device but they need find a event they will always go to the winter. If they do all this the mainstream will begin to notice a parttern and build up expectations.

Instead of mainstream going what is this nexus (blank) because the majority still doesn't know differences and connections between Google, Android and the Nexus concept. If Google has clear parttern that the majority can pick up and ask isn't Google coming out with Nexus (blank) right about (blank) time.

It would be funny if that picture is just some Google employee's kid's drawing and has no meaning yet we're all analyzing it. LOL

Google will give us a quick update about all their side projects (Google glasses, Google TV, and the self driving car) then get to the goodies. (Nexus phone and nexus q update) speak on 4.2 and a better Google now. Maybe add different voices (maybe ladies want a man talking) may release one phone on the play store and the others on carriers. That my opinion.

The Da Vinci code

Whatever products they announce, Google - please also include a hard release date with pricing.

Very interesting photo indeed....

Ppl are missing the cars though, Clearly they will be showing off either their car that drives itself OR a new Android powered car.

Don't forget the boat as well. So we will see the worlds first boat powered by Android. Since it has 2 stacks on top we can decipher that it will be running Jelly Bean since it is the only OS update with a 2 word name.

The ppl are huddled with what looks to be a hot dog cart. So maybe an Android powered hot dog cart? BUT, it very well could be a baby carriage, which would obviously symbolize an Android run artificial intelligence baby. Since the ppl around it are both black and white, we can assume that the baby will come in the same color options.

Since the sun is out we can safely assume that the baby, the car, the boat, the 4 phones, and 2 tablets will all be run on solar power.

I'm sorry, but I would like the time between product announcement and release to be shorter. I would rather Google not publicly announce a product roadmap a year in advance.

I also like the fact that Google is holding their own event. I don't believe I ever remember them doing this, I'm really exicted now. I was thinking about the Note 2 but, I know I'm holding off that now!
