Has anyone been able to get the "GEL" to work on the DNA? I downloaded the new search app and launcher APKs. But search force closes if I try to start the launcher.

Yes, I have but you have to be rooted and install a lib file. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46993343&postcount=59 and download the file. Use a root file Explorer to put it in /system/lib/

Rooted? What about that folder of .apk's that has been floating around? Why wouldn't they work on the DNA? I have no plans on installing but I'm just curious

I believe the lib file is used to fix the force closes that happen to some people.

I believe this is correct. I just tried to install the apk files on my dna and received force closes repeatedly.

I haven't been able to install it on my DNA either.. keeps force closing Google search. Oh well. Maybe one day Google will officially release the launcher in the play store

I'm confused...I just updated my google now and thought it updated to what you are trying to side load with the .apk. Is this the gel you are speaking of? It now makes me say OK google to do a search instead of just google.
