Google Has Fixed Missing Gmail Notifications For Nexus Devices

I'm debating switching email apps as well. This is ridiculous. It's been months since they have known about this issue and it still persists. Some days it works fine, other days I get no notifications, until I manually refresh. I wonder why they can't fix this issue?

There was just an inbox update. I'll see if it even matters. With each update there is hope and then ultimate letdown.

I noticed it was fixed last week before then I wasn't receiving my Gmail for months. Glad this issue is finally resolved.

This issue is absolutely NOT fixed. I just installed the March security update, but I don't have high hopes it was fixed in that either.

I can't believe how difficult it has been for Google to fix this.

Is this just on Nexus devices or anything running MM? I just ordered a Pixel C and S7 edge so I'm hoping I don't have to deal with it on either of those - although I may just use Bluemail to combine all of my accounts and get push notifications.

It seems to be across devices not just nexus ones. However it seems that nexus devices are having the most troubles. I find it odd that they can't fix this already, this has been such an annoyance.

Yeah I have had this issue as well. Odd because it hasnt happened lately though. It could be fixed on my device perhaps? I use Blue Mail for all my email accounts anyway.

My email delay seems to be getting worse and worse. Sometimes I get it a day later. That's if I open the app.

Mine seems to have fixed itself after last inbox update yesterday. A buddy of mine installed an app called Push Notifications Fixer from the app store and said it fixed his issues with all push notifications. Might be worth looking into. It's free. Hope everyone else had this issue fixed soon or has luck with that app.

My Nexus 9 is getting emails in a timely fashion. My 6P is not, though.

Right now, I'm not getting any notifications anymore. I didn't open the app for about a week and when I did I got tons of emails at once from within this week. All my settings seem correct so I don't know what the issue is.

I just looked at the latest Gmail reviews on Google Play. I checked 'from this device model only' and I see mainly bad reviews all with the same complaint. I guess Google is not listening/caring.

They are working on it. The Gmail team knows there is an issue, however they seem to be having difficulty fixing it.

Mine has been fixed and back to normal for about a week now. Anyone else? No updates, just started to behave normally.

I've heard some others say the same thing - so this is good news. Hopefully the fix is complete.

Mine seems to be working better now. I'll post again if it goes back to misbehaving.
