My Nexus 4's Google map application has the wrong location to where I am located. I have check the setting so that it automatically updates my location and I have my GPS turned on. It has my location set to a city about 20 minutes from me and its quite annoying navigsting somewhere that's quite a ways from my house

I've never seen that. Have you tried rebooting the phone? If you go to settings>Location access, do you have it turned on and have both boxes checked?

Sometimes mine puts me a mile away from work. I've discovered this is due to wifi being switched off (though why that would impact I don't know). Is your wife switched on even if you're not actually connected via wifi?

Never had a gps/maps issue personally, but I suggest you go to Google Maps from a browser<click my places<enter your home/work addresses if you haven't do so already. Also, in the Maps app hit layers (looks like a stack of papers), then Latitude (should be signed in), click your name/picture, and check location setting there as well.

As greydarrah said, have you tried rebooting?
Maybe even a factory reset? (Although I think it's too early to try that)

Interesting typo.

Had a similar problem on WiFi with my N7 using the ISP location but when I have GPS on it's pretty close. At home on my N7, Google usually thinks I'm in a neighbor's house, so close enough for a cruise missile.

I would send a formal complaint to Google. I can go ahead and guess though that of course with WiFi on the GPS will be pinpoint and off probably have room for error.

Make sure that location sharing options are enabled. I'd check Google the webpage, Google now, and Google maps.

I had that problem once on a Motorola droid x and location sharing fixed it.

Are you using a WiFi router at your home that used to be running somewhere else? If DSO, Google might still think it is at the old location. Perhaps changing your routers said might lead to Google updating in a few days.

You'll have to go to the app manager. On your Maps application you will need to delete your data, and cache.

I had that problem on my Huawei P9 .

Uninstalling all updates to Google Maps, restarting phone and then reinstalling updates seems to have cured the problem
