Hi everybody,

So yesterday I decided to use Google maps. All went well. When I arrived at my destination I turned off the maps.

Shortly after the phone starting heating up, and I have a case. Felt right through the case.

Is this common ?

Is there anything I can do ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance =).

It is common for your device to heat up while using Google Maps... after all your device's processor is processing a lot of GPS signals, downloading and displaying maps on screen, always updating and processing everything... that will heat up your device. I generally turn off my GPS after I finish a trip that uses GPS, then also hold down my home button for a couple seconds and Close all my apps. This will help shorten the length of time your device is hot. It will still heat up, but generally not too badly... all depends on how long you were using your Maps/Navigation app.

In addition to what the previous poster said, I take it out if the case it's in when I place it in my dash mount. I figure, it dissipates the heat better.
