Google Maps Heats Up My S4

I enjoy the functionality of Google Maps, especially the navigation option.

I've noticed that my battery runs a temperature when I use the Nav system. It hits 110 degrees F. I know its running the screen and the app continuously when doing the Nav function, that amount of heating seems extreme.

Anybody else noticed this?

go to settings--> applications-->clear cache from maps and navigation

Well I when one better. I flashed CM11. It still heats up my S4. Incidentally, didn't stay with CM. Went back to stock TW. Seems more polished in its standard form than CM. Life is too short to spend weeks tweaking CM.

I guess using the data radio, GPS, heavy CPU, heavy graphics, just about everything else in the phone just heats things up.
