Google Maps kml import

Anyone know if there is a limit to the size of layers in google maps? I am trying to view kml files from my maps and it only shows a small portion of the tracks that the file includes. I am using a droid x and the kml files are made from Google earth. Any help would be appreciated.

I did somewhat find the answer to my own question. When a track is loaded from my maps, it will only load the tracks that are a certain distance from your location (or where the map is zoomed into). So now I need to know if there is a way to expand this radius. My concern is being out of network coverage and not being able to load the trails.
