Google Maps NOT connecting to ALL contacts in GS5

At my wits end.
I enter one name into Google Maps search bar and the address pops up.
Enter another name into the search bar and nothing comes up.
Both names have full contact info including address. I'm stumped.
I have done a full factory reset. I have replaced the contacts with a file exported to VCard and imported into contacts.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Has anyone had a similar problem.
I'm using a GS5, just updated to KitKat 4.4.4, though the problem began with 4.4.2.
I haven't even tried with 4.4.4.

I'm using the latest Maps Update and all of my contacts with an address are working fine. You may want to check if the difference between the contacts are Google based or Deviced based contacts. Just a thought ....
