Google maps not updating?

So I load up the marketplace, go to Downloads, it says I have a Google Map update. I update, it downloads but never installs.. anyone else have this happen?

It's not supposed to install.

You already have Google Maps on your phone, therefore it just needs to download the update on top of the existing app.

Looks like google maps has an update in the marketplace today.

just installed and it shows 3 new features when loading it up.
