I just noticed that when I'm in Google Maps and want to zoom in the + and - signs are not available anymore! You have to pinch! When you are using Navigation the + and - signs are available. I don't like the pinch method nearly as well!!! Anyone found an alternative?

The + and - buttons are still available, you need to enable them under Settings>Display>Zoom Buttons.

Double tap on the screen. On the second tap hold and pull down. One finger Zoom.
