I've tried to no avail to get text notifications from Google Messages to the Watch 3. Even if I don't see the full message, I'd at least like to get notifications. Any thoughts/

You won't get notification if you switch from Sammy Messages.

In the Galaxy wearables app, go into the notification settings for the watch and you should see a list of apps to allow notifications from. Select messages and you should be good to go.

There is a few work arounds on Samsung's community forums I would check that out.

I think what they are saying is that it don't show up in the wearables app to select, it is not in mine. Previous Samsung watches allowed it. Strange.

I've had several Samsung watches and I've always been able to get notifications from Google Messages. I have a Galaxy Watch 3 and it's still working just fine. Notifications have to be enabled per-app in the Wearables app.

Ah I gotcha. I didn't think it'd be any different than the active 2

I Uninstalledand reinstalled the Google app and it now shows up in my notification list. Idk

Google Messages is listed in notifications but nonetheless, I don't receive them. I only receive notifications when Samsung is the default.

That's enough to keep me working on this but notifications are enabled in the wearable app, but nothing.

Since I was able to select it as a notification mine is coming through fine to my watch 3

I am using a non Samsung phone with a Galaxy Watch and I get notifications on Google messages and Google voice. Both are selected in the wearable app.

I can't find a Google app for the Samsung watch.

The good news is after resetting the watch and reinstalling the Wearable app, it's working intermittently.

You do not need the Google app. The notification will show on the watch and you can answer from the notification.

I have the active 2 and S10 Plus and I just switched to Google Messages and it is not in my wearables app to select. I don't even see Textra or Samsung messages in their anymore and I used to use both of those. I like also texting from my Chromebook and computer that is my main reason for using Google Messages. I used to use Windows Companion and be able to text from computer using Samsung Messages but it quit working and won't connect anymore I get some error message. That is when I switched to google and realized it didn't work with my watch. It was showing up at one time for me to check and still didn't come through on the watch. Now I just checked and it's not their at all.

Edit: I just went under allowed and found messages but it's greyed out and switched to on. And I changed back to Samsung Messages which is turned on and it's not coming to my watch neither.

If you Google this there is a way to get it done it's not direct but you need to download several apps to get this done for me it's just easier to use the stock messaging app.

Anyone having issues on the note 20 ultra using Google messages and not able to send hi quality videos? It'd all grainy. Bad. My friend can do it to others with it but not with me.
