Google messages notifications

In the past few weeks, I am not hearing messages notifications from Google messages.

I looked it up and seem to have the correct settings. Far as I can tell.


Any suggestions to make work?

Samsung Galaxy 10+

Do not disturb is not on. I used that every night and off every night. Currently, not on.

I do not see it in battery save.

I also had vibration OFF ... annoying as heck. Never use it.
I turned vibration on and it helps.. I feel a message come in.
I don't want vibration. I just want sound.

I changed so many settings I got it to come on. It's a quite noise. Will have to change that ...when I find settings .. I think it's an update that did it. Things are not where they used to be.

You can clear cache then force stop the message app if it doesn't help then clear data and force stop it
