Google Music update and lack of Market update on 3D

if you manually downloaded the apk file, it will continue to update itself as thats what i did to my EVO 4G and i got the new market a couple days ago

Same here... Mine has been there for a while and I never thought twice about it.

Try this guys, it may work for you.

Go into settings>applications> find the market and force close and clear data. Reboot and enter the market.

Obviously I don't have a 3vo but thus has worked for other devices.

Ok apparently I had to update my Google Music app first. Then when I re-opened the market it was there! Thanks for the APK!

This is something I have asked before. I have never had the market update itself. i have tried all the methods. Not one of them ever work. I always had to manually update it. it has never worked for me, and i dont ever expect it to.

Same here. I dont know what to do. I just give up and patiently wait for ICS. Hopefully we will get all the updated core apps.

My wife's Epic 4G, has had it for a while.

same. at this point, i'm just more curious as if there's any rhyme or reason to the updates. Or if it's a configuration conflict maybe for some. What I haven't tried is a full wipe of my phone, heh. Not that determined to find out

Well, if you have multi google accounts, log off default account from the market.
And re-log in will allow you to get new market home includes music.

It is absolutely ludicrous that we have never seen a Market update on this device. And nobody can actually get a straight answer from anyone. Interestingly enough, my Amazon market updates as soon as one is available.

Anyone try contacting sprint? Correct me if I am wrong but could the stock Evo3D have a sprint version of the market since it has a sprint apps section?

My wife has a stock Sprint Epic 4G Touch and it was updated a FEW months ago. There was the same Sprint Apps section of her old Market but she had no delays in getting the updates.

I think I remember downloading it from the XDA Forum. Try going there and do a search for new Market for EVO 3D. I did it awile ago and now it updated to add the Music Market. I'm also using CleanROM 2.9 which already comes with the new Market. If you are not rooted, try XDA and search for the new Market. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

I know you can download it manually but the point is the update is supposed to happen automatically and the EVO's seem to be the only phone this is not happening on. How many people have gotten the update on a non rooted EVO without doing it manually. I don't mean just the music update, I mean the one before too with books and movies. I am still on the old green colored market. You would think Google would be doing all they could to get this update to a phone as powerful and popular as the Evo. They are losing out on a lot of money from people who can't download their books or movies

Yes, your point is taken. I wish they would have pushed it down. But since they didn't yet, head over to XDA and get the market.apk. It has books, apps, and music. I've had it since August and it's great.
