Anyone trying to stream music from the cloud on the Music app?

I am finding it basically unusable. Skips ahead in the song, repeats sections of the song, and skips to the next song before the current one is finished.

I haven't tried it through the browswer to see if it is just a problem with the mobile app, or if it is hosing up my music files as it uploads them. If I replay a song, it does it again, so I'm thinking it may be breaking the songs during the upload process.

Also, the uploader is awful. I told it to do my iTunes, and it basically scanned the library and then started uploading EVERYTHING. I thought I would have the opportunity to select the music I wanted to upload. And it jumps around, loading a few songs from every artist, and after 2 solid days of uploading over 2000 songs, I still don't have full albums of hardly ANY of my artists.

Sounds like a connection issue. I had 3700 songs upload in under 24 hours and the only time I have had a problem (browser or android app) is when I have had connection issues. For that reason I have a few playlists that I set to keep offline on phone as well.

Besides wishing for a few more features in the Android app (thumbs up/down, sync play counts, etc..) I am finding Google Music great.

I got my invite few days ago. Works pretty well. Sound quality is same as in my iGarbage. I didn't use itunes uploader but used manual upload and it was pretty fast. got a stable 650KB/s upload speed which is the limit of my connection. So far works as advertised and google just releeased a little update to the mobile app. Can't beat free and its not limited by what I bought in itunes.

There is of course room for improvement and hopefully google will keep updating it often. They defintely should come up with better way to identify what was already installed. I had few albums on my sdcard storage and when I added samething to the cloud it duplicated it. so I just stopped upload, deleted local copy from the phone and uploaded again.

Yeah, I am in a terrible connection area. I'll try it again this weekend when I'm in a better area. I don't really see why connection quality should be an issue, so long as it downloads ahead of where it is playing.

If you have a terrible connection how is the app supposed to download ahead of where it is playing? One other thing you might try is uninstalling music app and reinstalling it.

Well, it is good enough to download ahead of where it is playing. You can see the status of the download as a darker gray bar. The Amazon app doesn't have a problem, so it is something with Google Music.

This is lacking one big feature that Amazon MP3 has; Lockscreen Widget.

Got mine yesterday, it's not bad, but I prefer Amazon at the moment, especially bc of the lock screen.

This I agree with.

There are a couple of other features that I would like as well: ability to thumbs up/down and access to the thumbs up list. Otherwise I think it is a great app that I prefer over Amazon and I like having access to all my music in the cloud. Added bonus is that with m CR-48 I also have access to all my tunes.
