Today I was using my Nexus when all of a sudden, the screen started flickering and then it said "Powering off..." Then, I checked the battery and I had about 10% left in it but before it popped up, I had WAY more than that. Then, it obviously shut down but I went to charge it but it wouldn't turn on so I waited and waited and waited- you get the idea but it STILL wont turn on It says the battery's full but It STILL won't turn on! ;_;

same happened to me... while playing shadow gunners..the screen flickered to multi colored strips of light or whatever its called...

and its been a little sluggish.hay also i dont know if i just pressed it against my back for two long or it was restarting on its own or turning itself off...hopefully nothings wrong with it and its just in my mind

My new Nexus 10 has been a real pleasant experience .... up until yesterday. My screen starting flickering, went black and shut down. As mentioned, yesterday was the first time this happened, I was rather confused as I had checked my battery moments before (as I was reading a great chapter and didn't want to have to break away as the plot thickened) and the battery displayed that I had 2 hours before having to re-charge. WiFi was not on as I was just reading with no other apps open. When I attempted to turn the tablet on, it would not reboot. I plugged charger in as a last resort, but without success. No power, no reboot - nothing.... So, I waited a couple of minutes and pressed the power button and voila... it came alive. I continued reading for an hour and then left tablet charging for a couple of hours. This morning, with what I thought would be a fully charged unit, I tried to complete this high-action chapter and poof --- the screen begins to flicker and then goes black / shuts down. (I'm never going to find out "who did it" at this rate!). Has anyone had any resolve with this issue or should I be contacting Google, possibly requesting replacement? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Elaine

at one time..while playing a game..dont know if shadow gunner or something. my nexus 10 sudeenly flickered.so i had to exit the game... it did not shut off though and i hope it wouldnt

The same thing happened to me three times. I've had my Nexus 10 for about 3 weeks now. The first time it happened I freaked because I thought I did something wrong. It flickered and then shut off even though I had over 70% battery left (I looked when it started happening). The second and third time, same thing. I had 78% the second time and 100% the third. Each time, I had to charge it for a while before it would turn back on because apparently the battery was at 0%. The second time, it didn't actually charge over night...I had to charge it all day while I was at work. I did a factory reset and still nothing so I told Google to give me a new one under the warranty. They're doing that but I have to have a charge on my Google Wallet in the mean time as a hold. Not sure why I can't just send it back rather than have a $500+ hold...seems pretty ridiculous and I'm not happy about this. The Google Play support is really incompetent. Their messages are so standard and full of feel, felt, found type of language. The first guy I talked to tried to tell me it sounded like a charging issue and asked if I tried a different charger. I was like ok...that doesn't explain it shutting off randomly. He said oh, ok right, right, then repeated himself. So ridiculous. Here's to hoping the second one is better because so far I'm really annoyed.

I was about to create a new thread then suddenly I found this post..anyway, heres what happened to my tablet

I had my tablet since February 28 so that makes it a month old or so. Anyway, while playing shadow gunners the other night, I noticed my nexus 10 heating up so much that it can cook eggs. I did not mind it since it happened before. But then it started to flicker rainbow lights and Still I continued to play

After awhile It suddenly flickered so fast then BOOOM it went Black...I was actually freaked out mainly because, I know that if its going into low battery that it would give you a reminder and that You will see the loading when its shutting down. but what happened to me that night was completely different. It just went black...so what I did was put it in its charger... but then no charging sign appeared like it used too. so i paniced. i was thinking how i can get it fixed..so i placed the tablet in front of the aircon then charged it backed on. WE ALL KNOW that when you charge the Nexus 10 it shows the charging sign . but at that time it didnt... but every time i press the power button there would be a dark shade of battery charging then go black again.. after letting it charge for at least 15-20 minutes i tried to open it up again and thank god.. it did open

I JUST HOPE there isnt any internal damage in my tablet..it caused me 24,490 and a month of no gimiks and social life because i had no money to use...

hay..also i noticed the frequent flicker or rainbow lights....what the F.. right? hope it gets fixed

I've been having the same issues with my N10. Screen flickering while watching a movie or playing a game, then it dies. This seems to happen to me when the battery is low. The tablet stays at 0% charged, even after 5 hours of being plugged in and turned off. I've tried the original charger and a RocketFish 2.1A charger with the same results. The weird part is, this only happens at my parents' house. At my apartment, the tablet charges just fine, however it seems to drain fairly quickly.

This tablet is also my second warranty replacement. The first time was because of light-bleeding, the second time was because of a bad speaker. Now I'm going to have to replace this one for (what I think is) a bad battery. I've been really disappointed with the shoddy build quality of this thing. Can't believe I spent $500 for this. Next time, I'm staying away from Samsung products.

My nexus 10 (less than 2 weeks old) has just done the same. What's really stupid tho is it was ON CHARGE at the time, but now it's aparently flat :/

My tablet is doing the exact same thing. I bought it around Feb at my local Wally World. I thought I was going crazy. 1 minute battery fully charged the next minute tablet turns off and plugged in shows 0%.

I encountered the same problem recently. My nexus 10 was flickering all of sudden then it just went black. Held down the power button, but to no avail. My battery was around 10% then, shouldn't be the cause of the problem.
Then as I found this forum, tried this method suggested by other people and it worked!
Firstly, charge the Nexus 10. It should give a grey fully-charged icon (very dim) when power button is pressed.
Secondly, leave it charging for around 30-60 mins.
After that period of time, the tablet should be charging as per normal already.
Hope it helped!
