Google Nexus 4 - smashed screen - how do I access data

Hi,

I dropped my nexus 4 and smashed the screen.. the phone is on but I cannot unlock it as the screen won't respond. Is there anyway I can plug it into the computer and unlock it? I tried a OTG usb cable with mouse but no joy. even tried a Y adapter OTG cable so the mouse got additional power, but nothing. Anything I can do? I know nothing about SDK and the like!!

Unfortunately without the device being unlocked and debugging enabled, the device can't be recovered.

You'll need to send for repair or replace.
