Google Nexus 6 i refuse to believe this is the only nexus

I personally refuse to believe this is the only nexus released. With the release of the Moto X on the first week of september... i have a highly doubted possibility of the nexus 6 being the only phone released. the Motorola X is less than 90 days old and motorola im sure is waiting a bit longer to release another nexus (5.2 inch) because of the lack of support of carriers on the motorola x. The 2nd gen motorola X isnt available for sprint at all, and the droid turbo is more than likely released first week of november only for Verizon. The only new phone for Sprint from motorola is the nexus 6 and IMO... will go the way like the G flex. Im sure its a money thing since verizon has the nexus 6, droid turbo, and moto x 2nd gen. With that, and also the Nexus 5 out of stock.... i feel there is a nexus 5.2 but somewhere released in Nov. or Dec.

I know 1 person is going to pop in and say well get out of sprint and getting better phones and or service. So heres my reply... I have my SERO-P plan for 50 dollars unlimited everything with 500 Landline minutes between 6am-7pm which never get used anyways. Sprint Spark with unlimited everything is worth the 50 dollars a month, especially here in Miami.

The Moto X 2014 basically is a 5.2 inch Nexus device (So was the 2013 Moto X).... the pure edition is very VERY close to stock Android, only a few minor Motorola add on options but outside that stock android..... because of this it usually gets updated relatively quick compared to heavily skinned phones from other carriers....

Plus so far Google appears to be keeping the Nexus 5 of 2013 alive and rolling along (For now at least)

SERO in the House! Yep, It's kept me on sprint this long, why not keep it?
I'm due for a new phone in December, I think I'll be holding out for the M9.

as i remember from last year... the moto x is a mid tier phone. I dont believe its the nexus 5.2 but its nexus-like midtier. however i dont believe in conspiracy... i just observed what was offered and what is not and noticed the gaps.

Believe it. Google is going with the go big or go home. If you don't want that, there is your smaller nexus, it is called the moto x pure edition

The Nexus 5 will be upgraded to Android 5.0 and will continue to be sold, so I doubt there will be another Nexus.

The Nexus 5 is kind of mid-tier.... Pretty good solid specs. but Google did cut corners with the camera lens and the overall build... Don't get me wrong I actually love my Nexus 5... It's an awesome phone... Most everyone looked past the camera, battery and build material because it was $349 - $399...

The new 2014 Moto X has slightly better specs than the Nexus 5 with a better (IMO) build.....

The 2013 Moto X had slightly lower specs than the Nexus 5 but it felt smaller than it actually was and Motorola software enhancements made it a pretty snappy phone in comparison...

It's all subjective to the person holding and using it....... This is my ideal device... I passed on a Note 3 and even the LG G3.... waiting on a pure android phablet device.... I look forward to having just this and dumping my N7 and N5.....

But it's not for everyone... I don't know what Google was thinking.... Maybe they were thinking the Moto X and Nexus 5 were good enough for smaller pure android devices???? Maybe they actually do have something in the works for the first Quarter of 2015 when the 64 bit snapdragon 808 and 810 processors are said to be ready for mass production and distribution in devices????? Would kind of make some sense wouldn't it? and if they are actually going head to head with the Note 4 and LG G3..... a spring release of a 64 bit Nexus (?) in the Spring would put it head to head with the Galaxy S6........

im not sure why you think they would release another phone, and if they were, why wouldnt they have just announced it at the same time as the n6?

I think you are right. I just don't know when this will happen. My rationale is that they kept the nexus 5 as part of the nexus family. Also they went REALLY big with the nexus 6 rather than LG G3 intermediate big. Clearly google sees space in their lineup for a phone smaller than 6" hence the continued sale of the nexus 5. Eventually the nexus 5 will need updating but I haven't a clue when that will be.

Google wanted a nexus phablet. There is nothing wrong with that. It does NOT mean google thinks 6", larger than just about every phone out there, is the appropriate size for a mainstream flagship phone. People just need to be patient.

And for what it is worth even though I know logically that I would hate using a phone that big I still kind of want it. Damn you google!

Edit:
I didn't see the poll before. I don't think any new nexus phones are coming this year. Maybe sometime before next fall though.

Better believe it, no one besides Samsung is willing to waste money on two flagships to appease people. This is Google and Motorola, this is it. Either get this or the Moto X 2014, or get something else, otherwise, complaining or coming up with theories is fruitless.

Maybe the nexus 5 will get an update next year like the nexus 7 2012 did. Who knows. Kinda upset that the nexus 6 is so big, would have bought it in a heartbeat. But I mean its just a phone. They come and go. Don't stress it lol

Only two Nexus devices this year: Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.

Both look to be great devices. All this wishful thinking of a 5.2" Nexus device - it's not happening.
