Are Google and/or Motorola Nexus 6's fully compatible with the AT&T network?
Based on the AT&T, Google and Motorola web sites, the Network and Bands of the Nexus 6 appears to be different:
AT&T
4G-LTE Bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 26, 29, and 41
4G HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul
3G - UMTS 850/900/1900/2100MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz
Google (North America)
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
CDMA Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA Bands: 1/2/4/5/8
LTE Bands: 2/3/4/5/7/12/13/17/25/26/29/41
CA DL Bands: B2-B13, B2-B17, B2-29, B4-B5, B4-B13, B4-B17, B4-B29
Motorola
Networks
GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA+, 4G LTE
Bands - Americas Model (XT1103)
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
CDMA (800, 1900, secondary 800 MHz)
WCDMA (1, 2, 4, 5, 8)
LTE (2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 29, 41)
CA DL (B2-B13, B2-B17, B2-29, B4-B5, B4-B13, B4-B17, B4-B29)
Is it significant that:
- The AT&T 4G-LTE list includes band 20, while the other 2 LTE lists do not include this band
- AT&T lists "4G HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul" while Motorola lists "HSPA+" without "enhanced backhaul" and Google says nothing about HSPA+
- The AT&T 3G - UMTS list includes 2100MHz, while the other two spec lists do not include 2100MHz anywhere
- Google doesn't include "3G" or "UMTS" while Motorola lists "UMTS" without any frequency specs
What I'm trying to understand is, if I buy a Nexus 6 from Google or Motorola for use on the AT&T network, will I miss out on some network capability or performance due to the differences in the Network/Band specifications?
If I will be missing out on something, how significant might it be?
