Google Nexus 6 on T-Mobile

Re: Got it

I tired to get it at T-Mobile today but there isn't a single store in Salt Lake City that received them. I tried to buy it from the 1-800 number but they wanted $50 extra if I wasn't setting up a T-Mobile account. Sucks....

Re: Got it

Walked into local T-Mobile store this morning and picked one up. Put my Att card in and now enjoying it. I feel bad for those here that spend a lot of time ordering online and then not even getting it earlier than me. Though I was one of the first people to try ordering the day play store claimed to have it.

First impression is that its big. Definitely found the moto x more comfortable. But the nexus 6 still fits comfortably in my pocket, will be better for reading a lot because of the bigger screen, has wireless charging, a barometer, slightly brighter screen, and better camera (indoor shots look less noisy, but it may be different processing on the moto x built in app, i.e. less noise smoothing.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Right there with you. Decided to go to the local store and pick it up. This launch has been pretty horrendous, but I'm guessing the worst is over now.

Re: Got it

Yeah I had to buy a $50 prepaid card which I will sell on craigslist. Sorry I didn't mention it.

But here comes the problem: it won't allow me to tether. This might sway me back to the Moto X. First vanilla android phone to give me static about this.

Re: Got it

A rep told me the same crap the other day. Its clearly not true. They have to hold them until 5pm the first day for those getting a plan, so I had to get a $50 prepaid which I'll sell .

Did it at the store. Sold the card to a guy in the store for $40 cash. Not a bad trip, but the no tethering thing is concerning.

Edit: disregard my post. I see you used a prepaid card.

My local T-Mobile was saying it was $50 extra without service but could be finagled if you bought in the store vs trying to order over the phone.. I don't think you can even buy a phone from T-Mobile.com without either a T-Mobile account or signing up for new service....

Re: Got it

Pretty sure they lied to you.

I didn't care.. I actually use T-Mobile.. But I am on a prepaid plan.... They suggested I switch to a post paid plan or I'd have to do basically the same thing you did buy a $50 prepaid card which would have been just fine by me..... but I got the 64 GB from Motorola this morning before they even opened... LOL!!!

Re: Got it

If anyone has it, you should post pics in the picture thread so we can see camera quality. I'll give anyone who does it 2,000 internets and 4,000 internets for low light pics w/ neon lighting optional.

Y'all rock! Come and get your internets!

Check over in the XDA Nexus 6 forums. I think there is a thread about tethering issues.
