Google Nexus 6 Random reboots?

Mine does that whenever it feels like it. I haven't installed much other than Facebook and weather channel because the device is malfunctioning

Have you posted in the Google thread I provided? That would be the only effective place.

I took mine out of my pocket today and it was really f'd up. it kept flashing on to the home screen, to the lock screen, and back off. over and over again. I could actually open an app if I was quick enough to tap an icon on the home screen, before it swithed to the lock screen again. Mine rebooted while I was on a phone call on speaker phone. I wasn't even touching it, then BAM. phone was dead.

How did you get weather channel? I thought that app wasn't compatible with 5.0?

Anyone's phone flat out shut down, not even reboot but go dead? Have to hold the power button to boot up?

I can't tell if mine is doing that instead. I often push and hold the power button when the screen goes dead. Perhaps it's shutting off, perhaps just a slow reboot.

PLEASE post on my Product Forums thread.

Mine was flat out off this afternoon and I had a hospital who was none to happy with me when they couldn't reach me.

This has happened to me on more than one occasion. Luckily I'm obsessive about checking my phone every five minutes otherwise I would have never noticed. Although it's been three days and I haven't had any freezing/random reboots.

Inconsistent behavior like this makes it difficult to troubleshoot or find the source of the problem on top of changing variables like third party apps, system settings, network connections, etc.

Something is clearly wrong but the "what" is going to be hard to determine from our perspective. Hopefully it's something Google can easily find and fix in an update.

I've tried but I keep getting errors when posting anything on their product support forum. I essentially lost my lengthy reply and don't feel like typing it up again.

Every 2-3 days my Nexus 6 reboots. I happened to be listening to my Nexus 7 tablet (which both have lollipop and they rebooted at the same exact time. This is starting to look like a lollipop problem. This still doesn't answer why both devices did it at the same time. SMH

Well, 5.0.1 didn't fix that issue, mine was DOA this morning. Had to hold the power button to bring it back up.

Mine has been doing this at least once a day. It just shuts off. I bought mine straight from Motorola. Haven't gotten the update yet though.

Got the 5.0.1 OTA yesterday.

Today, got back from lunch after using it at lunch.. put it on my desk and within 5 minutes, super loud AT&T reboot sound. Screen wont turn on. Yay.. gotta manually restart it..
