OUCH.. That isn't any good.... Was kind of curious if it's really much of an upgrade from the Chromecast? I don't play games.. Mostly just stream movies and content to my TV's from my phone or tablet..... Been holding out on upgrading my TV for the Android TV integrated TV's that should start rolling in some time in 2015..... Hopefully they do a much better job than the Google TV from a few years back....

Apparently, I wasn't the only one who had the issue, and someone linked me instructions on how to do a factory reset on the Player. That ended up working for me, and everything seems to be in order now.

Anyway, I like the Player thus far, though I admittedly haven't used it much beyond the initial setup. It seems slightly laggy, and the remote feels a bit "cheap", but neither are dealbreakers, really. My biggest complaint is less with the device itself, and more with the fact that I have to wait who-knows-how-long before some of the less popular (i.e. stuff besides the typical Netflix, Hulu, etc.) apps I like to use for video become compatible with the Nexus Player/ Android TV. For now, I have both my Roku 3 and NP plugged into my TV, because the Roku 3 still has a few apps for video services that aren't yet available on the NP.

well, it looks like the phones arent shipping today either. kinda sucks. I just dont understand how a random carrier will get the phone before moto or google ships.

Could be a contractual thing... Like say T-Mobile gets first dibs.... Looks like preorders from Motorola are to start shipping tomorrow..... at least from my chat conversations with the Moto people..... sounds like Sprint will be second to release on 11/14.... and AT&T around 11/21 and Verizon in 2015 some time (This is just me guessing and playing with the Verizon folks)

Looks like AT&T you can pre order tomorrow 11/12 $249.99 on a two-year contract. and $682.99 retail price

Funny thing about that. On "My Orders" page, it says it'll leave warehouse BY 11/21. But if you click on "Info" for more details, it'll say leaves warehouse on 11/21.

Yup...Sucks a$$ to have ordered direct from PS, yet Moto ships faster and even those ordered a week AFTER the original PS launch. LMAO. WTF Google?!? I mean c'mon. Morons.....

or well I better save that until my device actually ships and is in my hand... If it's before you play store guys then I'll be happy I wasn't able to get in on all the fun with the play store... if it's after then Oh well......

My CC won't let pre-authorized charges sit for more than 5 business days. Which got me worried about my order status. Called Google they said it should be fine. I'm going to be quite mad if it goes to ship and no pre:auth and my order cancels.

My CC won't let pre-authorized charges sit for more than 5 business days. Which got me worried about my order status. Called Google they said it should be fine. I'm going to be quite mad if it goes to ship and no pre:auth and my order cancels.

Technically they should just charge your card when it ships, regardless of if there was a pre-authorization or not. My pre-authorization also fell off because I ordered on 10/29, but I assume it will be fine. Almost all credit card companies remove pre-auths after 5 days, at the most 10 days.

My credit card removes the Pre-Auth after 10 days.... but I also get emails anytime something hits over $300... I got one on November 6 when I ordered and then got another email Saturday that Motorola dinged my card again and that charge became an actual charge on Monday.. No longer a pending.. I wonder what the window is from the time of the final charge to actually having to ship?

Motorola says they don't charge until the device is "Ready for shipment" so that is kind of vague in they could say "Well we had it boxed and ready to go on Saturday but per whatever agreement Google has in place with everyone can't physically ship until Wednesday."

and everyone should be fine even if the preauthorization falls off as long as you didn't go on a mad shopping spree and eat up all your credit limit....

Google charged my Debit card the same day I ordered it last Wed. Uggg... SHIP IT NOW! hahaha.... you've charged me and cleared Dew it now!

I am ready and waiting for the shipping to commence from motorola. They have my money, I want my phone...heh. I do find it interesting that is looks like TMobile will be the first ones to be able to get the devices into peoples hands. I can understand if Motorola did because they are building the things, but for a carrier to get it before play store orders is indeed odd. Unless Google really wants to make this all about the carriers... Weird for sure..

Not to mention, if I do get my phone on the 19th like it has stated from Motorola, and if the Play Store phones orders get theirs on the 21st.... That will be the first time I have seen where the estimated dates were right and that they were not delivered sooner.

I received an email from UPS that I have a package coming in on Thursday. I don't remember ordering anything else, can this be my Nexus? Coming from Miami and package weight is 2 lbs. I thought Google shipped from Kentucky?
