It says where supported by the hardware. And since nothing has really been said about the phone at all, we don't know if it's supported or not.

In the second link I posted the reviewer stated that they wished the feature was available on the Nexus 6 in their Nexus 9 overview unless they some how over looked it. Still this is a feature that can be added via a kernel as I have it on my Nexus 5 now so I don't see why the Nexus 6 would be any different.

Now according to this article, the Nexus 6 does indeed have double tap to wake
