Google Nexus 6 wake up feature ?

I have not seen in the spec sheet if the device can be turned on my tapping the screen or lifting the phone up?

I think only the Nexus 9 can perform this now

It says where supported by the hardware. And since nothing has really been said about the phone at all, we don't know if it's supported or not.

Actually. At the very least, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the double tap to wake. If you go through the n9 page it has double tap to wake under the display. Where the n6 has no mention of anything.

In the second link I posted the reviewer stated that they wished the feature was available on the Nexus 6 in their Nexus 9 overview unless they some how over looked it. Still this is a feature that can be added via a kernel as I have it on my Nexus 5 now so I don't see why the Nexus 6 would be any different.

This may seem like such a little feature but I have found the double tap a big plus on the htc m8 GPE. It would be a deal breaker for me

Thought I read that you can "Ok Google" from any screen including when it is turned off. It will turn on with that phrase.

I'd love the pick up and wake feature, esp if its implemented as well as on Moto X and uses a low power core.
