Is anybody having an issue with the alarm? I have the alarm set for the morning and when it goes off and flip over the phone to dismiss the screen is on the lock screen with the notification showing...shouldn't it be the alarm instead?

I've tried recreating it a few times and it works the way it should but something about being face-down for a long period of time seems to cause that issue.

Thanks!

Re: Alarm Issue

No issues here. I set it with the phone face down and the alarm went off. That was for a short period though. I always have my phones face up however.

Re: Alarm Issue

Thanks. My alarm always goes off but I have to unlock the phone to turn if off. The alarm dismiss or snooze options should be right there on the screen when I look at the phone, I shouldn't have to go hunting for it.

Also, I forgot to mention that I set the volume buttons to dismiss the alarm but they don't work either.

Re: Alarm Issue

I always leave my phones face up at night and when my alarm goes off, I can either swipe left for snooze or right to turn it off.

Using fingerprint and pin codes as my lock screen security.

That's basically what I do (or try to do) but with the screen down. I previously had a Moto X 2013 and I never had this problem. The alarm would go off and I would flip the phone over and swipe to turn off the alarm....that's just not happening with the 6P

Are you using the built in Android alarm clock or a 3rd party app?

I'm using the built-in alarm clock. However, I think I've figured out the problem, in the alarm settings I had turned on the "Gradually increase volume" option which I had off on my previous phone. I turned it back off on this phone and at least for the first night it worked as advertised. I'll test a few more nights to be positive.

Glad you got it resolved :-D

Still working alright?
