Now that you have seen the nexus. Are you ready for a whole new android? Finally can talk about what we have been excited about

Partnerships is what android is about.. As such expect moto, lg and htc to be ready to take full advantage of ics

@quanb24 but of course.. But it won't be a nexus.. Heck the moto razor is better but specs don't matter when your stuck with no updates

Verizon peeps Remember when sprint got the nexus devices and i said "ours is better " make sense now? Congratulations partner services

Verizon has their own plans for nexus. Being part of a hong Kong event doesn't make sense.. Details coming.. Relax big red fans..

@Tech_Addiction what do you need an sd card for? It's all about the cloud and that lte network..

@Tech_Addiction trust me.. With the right lte network and the ics build it is like dedicated storage.. I only have 786mb used on mine

^ I'm looking forward to seeing what Verizon's offering of the Nexus will be. Hopefully Verizon will announce something sooner then later.

Judging from how crappy Verizon has handled launches lately, I'd say we'll know about 2-3 days before launch.

I would hope not. I would like a chance to preorder or a heads up at least a week earlier.

anything is better than the botched thunderbolt launch. Im not getting my hopes up on this one!

Yeah, the cloud is great on 4g...until you hit your data limit. Therein lies the whole problem. That's why I'll stick with Sprint. Hopefully they'll get the Galaxy Nexus by the spring.

THERE IS NOT MICRO SD CARD SLOT. lol there will be a 16gb and 32 gb model. Engagdet posted pics, theres no slot.

This is confirmed in email I received back from Roman Guy!

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and Android.......I currently have an old LG env touch. Anyway, after reading many websites and forums I've decided to try Android out. I'm in the medical field and I use my itouch alot for various medical applications. I considered an iphone but I absolutely hate itunes and I hate the size of their screen. I watched both the release of the iphone 4s and the Google one last night and I have to say that Apple has its presentations down so much better but I still want to get this GN. I have a few concerns and I was hoping someone would have some insight. The first is I hate the fact that the GN does not have an SD or micro SD slot. You would think this would be a "must have" since the phone shoots video in HD. I can't imagine having all my songs and programs on the phone and still have room to shoot HD video. I am aware that the iphone doesn't have SD either but isn't it a must if you want to shoot video and take a lot of pictures? My other concern is the 5 megapixel camera. I know that megapixels don't necessarily mean a better camera but the fact is the higher the megapixel, the more zooming and cropping that can be done. Last night, samsung really didn't try to pimp their product very much. I don't remember them saying it was a better camera and go into explaining the optics or anything. I'm just kind of leery on whether this phone may be already obsolete except for the OS. Any info or thoughts you can give me on this would be helpful.....thanks

I just got back from visiting a Verizon store in Florida and I was told that they have no idea until the day before launch. Then the sales guy starts looking something up on the computer and tells me that it looks like Sprint is getting it first....so who the hell knows. I thought the google thing last night was crappy and thrown together. I mean, they didn't even discuss launch dates or anything. They definitely need to work on their presentations.

Sounds like the salesmen are really well-trained in explaining use of new phones to customers.

But Verizon's "unlimited" data's has what, a 4gb cap?

No theres no cap on VZ 4g unlimited date. Unless you were not locked into unlimited data before the service ended. If your about to become a new customer, then you will have to choose a tiered data plan.

If u use Google music and install ur music to the cloud, then it won't use up any phone memory. Plus 32gb is a lot of memory. I mean how much video are u going to take? Judging on the video samples and pictures we saw last night, the camera looks amazing. Apple might have had the better presentation, but Google had the more revolutionary product. I also think that Google's announcement yesterday was focused more on ICS Android 4.0, rather than the galaxy nexus.

I'm on the fence. A dated GPU and lack of super AMOLED plus might be a deal breaker. If only the S2 was on Verizon I'd be all over that phone but as it stands it looks like I might wait for next year to upgrade :'(

They didnt give an exact date or carrier but he did say November and from the looks of that camera rig photo... That thing is branded 4G LTE... Verizon. No one knows yet what carrier will see it in November but from that pic... its a hopeful start.
