Google+ notifications question

I use to get notifications on my N5 when someone +1'd a post of mine on Google+. Did they stop this? I looked at the notification settings and don't see a way to turn it on. Does everyone here get a notification when someone +1's one of your posts?

In Google+, go to Settings. You should see your name and email address. If you click on that you should see more options. The first one should be Notifications.

I see that and it is turned on. I get a notification for everything else on Google+ except is someone +1's one of my posts.

Just to clarify, I get the notification in the Google+ app, I just don't get any notification in my notification bar.
